Have Questions?

Everything you need to know about our programs, our team, and how to get involved.

Silimulalu Initiative Uganda (SIU) is a community-based, youth-led organization committed to promoting mental health, emotional well-being, and reproductive health awareness. We run programs—like podcasting, sports, and mentorship—to break down stigma and help people build steadier, more resilient lives in Mukono.

Our interventions primarily target youth (in and out of school), women and girls in vulnerable communities, parents, teachers, and anyone facing mental health challenges within Mukono and its surrounding districts. Our spaces are strictly non-discriminatory.

Absolutely. Empathy and Inclusivity are our core values. Every counselling session is confidential. We never share what you tell us with outside parties.

We rely on individual donations, corporate sponsors, grants from partner health foundations, and community fundraising events. We keep our financial records transparent and accountable.

We regularly welcome community health advocates, event volunteers, and counselling professionals. Organizations are welcome to partner with us too. Simply navigate to the Connect page to fill out a partnership or volunteer application.
